Public Engagement Drop-In (NMB)

September 18 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

The City of North Myrtle Beach is updating its Comprehensive Plan, a long-range policy document that will guide decision-making and development for the next five to ten years. To ensure the plan reflects the vision and priorities of the community, the City invites residents and business owners to participate in a series of public engagement opportunities.

The first of three opportunities for input will be a Public Engagement Drop-In on Monday, September 9, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at City Hall (1018 2nd Avenue South).

Two additional drop-ins will follow:

  • Thursday, September 18, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Barefoot Resort & Golf Clubhouse (4980 Barefoot Resort Bridge Road)
  • Wednesday, October 1, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
FFA Camp Gym (1069 FFA Circle Road)

Each session will provide an overview of the Comprehensive Plan update process and give attendees a chance to share their ideas on important topics, such as housing, growth, land use, transportation, economic development, recreation, and quality of life.

In addition to the drop-ins, the City has launched a Comprehensive Plan Community Survey, open now through Wednesday, October 8. This survey provides another way for community members to offer valuable feedback, which will help shape the vision and priorities for the future of North Myrtle Beach.

The survey can be accessed online at https://arcg.is/0n0CfL0. Paper copies are available at the Planning & Development counter inside City Hall.

For more information about the Comprehensive Plan update, the survey, or the upcoming engagement drop-ins, please contact the Assistant Director of Planning & Development, Suzanne Pritchard, at lspritchard@nmb.us
