The Great Christmas Light Show is a park-wide lighted celebration that is sure to capture the true spirit of the season! The drive through light show will feature over 2 million lights festively displayed along a 2-mile drive throughout the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. Over 500 magical light displays, some up to 55 feet tall, have been custom made for The Great Christmas Light Show. Visitors will experience NEW enchanting animated figures and holiday scenes where the lights will come to life.
After journeying through the light show, we invite everyone to park their car and visit Santa’s Village where they can enjoy hot chocolate and s’mores, get an up-close look at the lights on the Santa Express Train Ride, and, of course, meet Santa!

Furry friends love Santa too! Bring your beloved family pets to meet Santa Claus at the Large Dog Park in the NMB Park & Sports Complex. Bring your camera and capture the perfect Christmas card photo. All well-behaved pets are welcome. Please have dogs on leashes and all other pets contained.

Christmas Tree Lighting

Kick off the season with our annual Christmas Tree Lighting at McLean Park. Come enjoy live music, stage performances, visits with Santa, and the magical moment when we illuminate our beautiful tree! Join Santa and his friends at McLean Park for the light of the City Christmas Tree. A great start to your holiday season!

Wreath Making Workshop

Learn the tricks to making your own Christmas wreath with live greenery, supplied by the Parks & Rec Department. Participants should bring a straw wreath form along with any decorations you would like to add to make it a beautiful holiday wreath for your home!

Christmas Parade

It would not be Christmas at the beach without the annual nighttime NMB Christmas parade. Join your friends and neighbors on Main Street to enjoy the lighted floats and vehicles representing groups from all across the area. Parade entries will be judged and awarded for being the best! Judges and a special guest announcer will be located at Oak Drive N and Main Street.
Parade Route: The parade will begin at 2nd Ave North/Ocean Blvd. and proceed South to Main Street/Ocean Blvd. where it will turn right onto Main Street and travel to Ye Olde Kings Hwy turning right to conclude the parade.
Barefoot Landing Holiday Golf Cart & Pet Parade

Join us for the Annual Holiday Golf Cart Parade on Sun., Dec. 14 starting at 1 pm by Greg Norman Australian Grille. Decorate your cart or bring a group to walk. Entry is $10 per cart/group with all proceeds going to The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach. Bring the whole family, your friends and co-workers for a day full of holiday fun.
Participants will be judged and the top two winners with the best holiday decorations will win prizes. All participants will receive a $20 LuLu’s gift card (while supplies last) to be used at the Sunday Ticket after party at LuLu’s where there will football, food and drink specials and more!
