Barefoot’s partnership with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans came to an end for the 2019 baseball season on a beautiful August 20th night at Ticketreturn.com ballpark. At the event, organized and sponsored by the Barefoot Lifestyle Committee, 80 Barefooters enjoyed watching the Pelicans win 6-2 from the Beach Party Area of the ballpark. After a filling All You Can Eat Buffet, we watched the Pelicans score six runs in the first inning and cruise to a victory behind the stellar pitching of Brailyn Marquez, who was just named the Chicago Cubs Minor League Player of the Year. His 100+ MPH fastball was too much for the overmatched Carolina Mudcats.

This August 20th game was a rescheduled date for the Beach Party, since the original July 13th date was rained out. We had 107 Barefooters planning to attend the July 13th date and thankfully many of them were able to make the makeup date.

For the season, nearly 500 Barefoot residents and friends took advantage of the awesome deal that Barefoot had with the Pelicans for both luxury suites and the Beach Party Area. Stay tuned for more fun next year at the Pelicans Ballpark.
