SUMMARY:36th Annual Beach Sweep/Creek Sweep (NMB)
DESCRIPTION:The City of North Myrtle Beach invites community members to join the 36th Annual Beach Sweep/Creek Sweep on Saturday\, September 20\, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This event is part of South Carolina’s largest one-day volunteer cleanup effort\, and your participation helps keep our beaches\, dunes\, marshes\, and parks clean and beautiful. \nHow to Participate \nVolunteers should meet at the Cherry Grove Park & Boat Ramp\, located on 53rd Avenue North\, starting at 8:30 AM for registration. Walkers\, boaters\, and kayakers are all encouraged to join. The Beach Sweep/Creek Sweep is a wonderful opportunity for students and employees to earn community service hours. \nIf you cannot make it to Cherry Grove\, but would still like to participate\, please request an assignment by contacting Megan at mspetit@nmb.us or knmbb@nmb.us\, or by calling 843-281-3732 no later than Wednesday\, September 17. \nWhat’s Provided \nDuring registration\, volunteers will be assigned cleanup areas and provided with supplies\, including litter grabbers\, gloves\, trash bags\, and tally sheets. Cleanup will take place from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Volunteers with kayaks are encouraged to bring them to assist with marsh cleanups. \nAfter the Cleanup \nFrom 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM\, participants are invited back to the Cherry Grove Boat Ramp to return supplies and tally sheets. Volunteers will also enjoy complimentary food and drinks provided by Keep North Myrtle Beach Beautiful (KNMBB). \nThe City of North Myrtle Beach thanks the South Carolina Sea Grant Consortium for leading the beach cleanup effort and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for coordinating the inland cleanup. Most of all\, we thank the volunteers who make this annual event a success.

DESCRIPTION:Pink Ribbon Run \n \nParking:\nAll parking will be at the House of Blues parking lot located at 4640 Hwy 17 S\, North Myrtle Beach.  The starting line is approximately a .75 mile walk from where you will park and you MUST take our shuttle that we provide to all participants for free. You cannot walk over the bridge. \nStart/Finish Line:\nYour courses take you through Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach.
