In honor of Alan Rindfleisch

1947 – 2017

With great sadness and sincere appreciation for many years of donated time to Barefoot, the BRRA extends its condolences to the family of Alan Rindfleisch, who passed away on March 19, 2017.

Alan and his wife Susan purchased their home in Bridle Ridge in 2003; by 2006 they made Barefoot their permanent residence.

Alan cared a lot about Barefoot and volunteered many hours on behalf of the Barefoot Resort Residential Owners Association. He served as a Bridle Ridge Voting Member, BRRA Board Member and past President, Joint Committee Board Member, Marketing Committee Member, and Tree Clearing Committee Member. He was instrumental in the purchase of the third Barefoot Beach Cabana parking lot; this photo was taken at the ribbon cutting of the parking lot in July 2014. He was also instrumental in securing the Water Tower Road monuments at Par Avenue and Links Drive, among many other Barefoot projects.

"He always listened to everyone first," says his friend and fellow Board member Glen Talley. "Then Alan would lead the Board to consensus of opinion. He was a great leader."

Professionally, Alan was General Sales Manager for a bearing firm; they moved here from Connecticut. He and Susan spent this past long year battling his cancer. He is sorely missed by his many friends and family.

"Alan was a great father figure for Barefoot and always had the best interests of Barefoot at heart. I loved him like a brother and think the world of Susan. They are great folks to know and to be around."
