As of this writing the new traffic control devices are being installed just outside the new mini houses being built near the approach to the swing bridge.

Traffic this summer has seen an increase since we have pulled out of the Covid era. I anticipate more congestion to follow as the new construction becomes occupied.

A new North Myrtle Beach Police Chief has been appointed. Her name is Dana Crowell. She is a 20 year veteran of the NMB Police Department. Her view on golf carts riding the center median has differed from the views of past Chiefs. She stated that if a golf cart pulls into the center median it should come to a complete stop to allow vehicle traffic to pass and then safely re-enter the roadway.
