August Barefoot Crime Statistics

North Myrtle Beach Officer William McLeod has provided the following Public Safety crime report for Barefoot during the month of August 2017. This report is posted monthly on this website for your information.

Our BRRA Neighborhood Watch Committee and block captains from all Barefoot neighborhoods actively partner with the NMB police to bring information to the residents – and keep the police informed about any unusual activity in our communities. We are fortunate to live in a low crime area. 

 

There were 18 incident reports for Barefoot during the month of August:

  • 2 No Driver’s license (Barefoot Resort Bridge Road and Club Course Drive; Barefoot Resort Bridge Road and Windy Hill Extension)
  • 1 Leaving Scene of Accident (Barefoot Resort Bridge Road and Club Course Drive)
  • 1 Assault and Battery (Waterview Drive)
  • 1 Domestic Violence (Catalina Drive)
  • 1 Breaking and Entering – Vehicle – 2 Cell Phones taken Improper lending of a license plate (Weatherwood Drive)
  • 1 Operating a Vehicle with revoked plate (Barefoot Resort Bridge Road and Windy Hill Extension)
  • 1 Stolen Vehicle – SUV (Oyster Catcher Drive)
  • 1 Larceny (Catalina Drive)
  • 1 Uninsured Vehicle (Club Course Drive and Grey Heron Drive)
  • 1 Failure to register a motor vehicle (Club Course Drive and Grey Heron Drive)
  • 1 Improper lending of a license plate (Club Course Drive and Grey Heron Drive)
  • 2 Driving Under Suspension (Swift Street; Club Course Drive @ SC 31 overpass)
  • 1 Failure to stop at a stop sign (Barefoot resident) (Swift Street)
  • 1 Speeding – 45 MPH in a 30 MPH zone (Club Course Drive @ SC 31 overpass)
  • 1 Drug violation (Barefoot Resort Bridge Road)
  • 1 Expired tag (Barefoot Resort Bridge Road)

These calls resulted in the following actions:

  • 3 Incidents where suspects could not be identified
  • 8 Incidents where the suspects were identified
  • 1 Incident under active investigation
  • 6 Incidents where only a report could be entered into the system
  • 4 Arrests were made
