CHILDREN'S SUMMER READING BOOK DRIVE

April 1 – April 30, 2019

The Barefoot Caring Council is sponsoring a SUMMER READING BOOK DRIVE for Riverside Elementary and Ocean Drive Elementary Schools. We are requesting both new and gently used children’s books for grades K-6. The books will be distributed to disadvantaged children at both elementary schools so they can enjoy reading during the summer break.

Below are grade appropriate reading lists to use as a guide for donations.

You can drop off books at the Ponderosa Management Office (there will be a donation box in the lobby), or if you are unable to do so, call Susan O'Keefe at 516-721-7752 (or email suephil2000@yahoo.com) to arrange for pick up.

Since the inception of Barefoot’s Summer Reading Book Drive, we have collected more than 125 books and put them in the hands of children. Let’s see if we can reach a total of 200 books!
