Children’s Summer Reading Book Drive

March 17 – April 7, 2025

The Barefoot Caring Council is sponsoring a Summer Reading Book Drive for Riverside Elementary, Ocean Drive Elementary and Waterway Elementary Schools. We are requesting new children’s books for grades K-6. The books will be distributed to children in need at the three elementary schools so they can enjoy reading during the summer break.

Below are grade appropriate reading lists to use as a guide for donations. For your convenience, most titles are available on Amazon for shopping and shipping. Recent award winning books have been added to this year’s list.

You may drop off books at the Residents’ Club Library, at the Ponderosa Lobby or at the home of Linda Earnest, 2705 Marsh Glen Drive. Books purchased online can be sent to this address as well. If you are unable to do so, contact Linda Earnest at 765-661-3333, or e-mail at
lindajearnest@gmail.com to arrange for pick-up.
