Golf Cart Parade Report

The Annual Barefoot Resort Golf Cart Parade was held on Saturday, July 1st. There was a total of 17 carts in the parade. While this was a lower count than usual, the creativity was phenomenal! People went above and beyond with the decorating.

North Myrtle Beach Police Chief Dana Crowell was the Grand Marshal. Mayor Hatley and City council members Nikki Fontana, Jay Baldwin and Trey Skidmore participated and were our judges. The firetruck and firefighters from the Barefoot Fire House led the parade.

61 Hawaiian shirts were collected for Deployed Soldiers. Thank you to Linda Kyzer for manning the box at the gazebo, and many thanks to Marie Chaisson and Laura Bo for pulling the wagon along the parade route to collect the shirts.

Thank you to all those residents who participated, you guys ROCK!!
