July Barefoot Crime Statistics

North Myrtle Beach Officer William McLeod has provided the following Public Safety crime report for Barefoot during the month of July 2017. This report is posted monthly on this website for your information.

Our BRRA Neighborhood Watch Committee and block captains from all Barefoot neighborhoods actively partner with the NMB police to bring information to the residents – and keep the police informed about any unusual activity in our communities. We are fortunate to live in a low crime area. 

There were twelve incident reports for Barefoot in July 2017:

  • 1 Burglary (Windy Pines Drive)
  • 1 Larceny (Harbour Pointe Drive)
  • 3 Property Damage Reports (Oyster Catcher Drive – Words scratched into car paint)
  • Other types:
    • 1 Criminal Domestic Violence (Oyster Catcher Drive)
    • 1 Assault & Battery (Oyster Catcher Drive)
    • 1 Drug Violation (Oyster Catcher Drive)
    • 1 Hit & Run (Barefoot Resort Bridge Road)
    • 1 Failure to return suspended plate (Barefoot Resort Bridge & Club Course)
    • 1 Allowing Operation of Motor Vehicle (Barefoot Resort Bridge & Club Course)
    • 1 Speeding – 61 in a 40 Zone (Water Tower)
    • 1 Expired Tag (Water Tower)
    • 1 Suspended License (Water Tower)

These calls resulted in the following actions:

  • 5 Incidents where suspects could not be identified
  • 11 Incidents where 16 suspects were identified
  • 2 Incidents under active investigation
  • 7 Incidents where only a report could be entered into the system
  • 7 Arrests were made
  • 1 Incident was unfounded
