Message from the President

On March 15, 2020, our country shut down. It’s undeniable that this event has left a mark on all of our lives, reshaping the way we live, work, and interact with one another.

During this time, Zoom emerged as a lifeline, enabling communication and connectivity in a time of unprecedented isolation. However, while Zoom undoubtedly served its purpose, it also brought about a sense of disconnect with our interactions. As convenient as it may be, I believe it’s crucial for us to acknowledge the limitations of Zoom and the importance of face-to-face interaction.

I am delighted to announce that on March 12th, we successfully hosted our first return to in-person meeting at the Barefoot Resort Golf Clubhouse. In line with our dedication to fostering an inclusive community and enhancing transparency, we integrated Zoom for remote participation. We were thrilled to welcome over 70 attendees in person and an additional 80 participants joining us via Zoom.

Although we encountered minor technical sound issues, the event was a success. Moving forward, we are committed to refining our sound quality for future meetings. Our plan is to hold quarterly in-person gatherings, further enhancing our engagement and communication within the community. Thank you to all.

Sincerely,
Dara Baltuskonis
BRRA President
