Public Safety Recognition

AUGUST 1, 2017

On Monday, July 17, at the NMB City Council chambers, Barefoot residents supported a joint tribute of area Public Safety personnel.

Lawton Dews of Seabrook Plantation and Joe Gosiewski of Barefoot Resort expressed  appreciation and community support to all law enforcement agencies serving this county and city, all emergency services personnel—including paramedics, firemen, ambulatory services, fire rescue, and any other agency or service employing people who put their very lives at risk or in the line of fire each and every day in order to save or provide help to citizens in distress.

Dignitaries included North Myrtle Beach City Council and North Myrtle Beach Public Officials, State Senator Greg Hembree, State Represenative Greg Duckworth, Horry Council Council President Mark Lazarus, Horry County Councilman Harold Worley, Horry County Police Chief Joe Hill,  a representative of Congressman Tom Rice and members of our fire, police, rescue and EMT squads. Both the Governor and Lt. Governor sent letters supporting the recognition as well.

Thanks to all Barefoot Resort residents who took time to attend this tribute at the City Council meeting.
