2018 BRRA Committees

The Barefoot Resort Residential Association has made the following decisions regarding 2018 BRRA Committees. Below is listed each Committee, a brief description of its role, and its Board Member Liaison.

Joint Committee

This committee is the overseeing organization for the Barefoot Resort Residential Association (BRRA) owners and Barefoot Non-Residential Association members (NRA), which includes the North Tower Association, Yacht Club Villas Association, Marina, the Retreat, Barefoot Village, etc.  The Joint Committee is responsible for landscape overlay, irrigation, and streetlights on all spine roads and entrances, as well as all needs for the North Tower pool.

Architectural Review Committee

Reviews all applications for new construction and modifications to the exterior and/or landscaping of a home/unit. This committe exists to preserve the beauty and harmony of our community and ensure changes made to architecture and landscaping are consistent with our codes, covenants, and restrictions, while allowing homeowners to personalize their Barefoot homes.

Sign Sub-Committee

This sub-committee of the ARC Committee is responsible for monitoring the condition of our street and handicap signs within the Barefoot Resort Residential Association and recommending annual repair costs to the BRRA Board.

Strategic Planning & Development Committee

Researches and makes Barefoot strategic initiative recommendations to the BRRA Board which then determines how best to use the 1% Marketing Fund for the benefit of the entire Barefoot community, within the guidelines of Barefoot covenants, conditions, and restrictions (Third Amendment).

Residents' Club Committee 

Responsible for the physical assets of the Residents’ Club and advising the BRRA Board on operational needs and ongoing maintenance of the facilities.

Beach Cabana Committee

Responsible for the maintenance and use of the Beach Cabana facility and parking lots. The committee manages an annual budget, sets operating schedules, and establishes rules of use.

Neighborhood Watch & Safety Committee

Responsible for organizing and supervising Community Watch neighborhood block captains and owners and partnering with North Myrtle Beach police.

Traffic Sub-Committee

This sub-committee of the Neighborhood Watch & Safety Committee is responsible for overseeing traffic safety issues in Barefoot and establishing a close working relationship with the City of North Myrtle Beach.

NMB City Committee

Responsible for communicating with City Officials concerning issues that pertain to the Barefoot community and with the Board concerning matters that need to be communicated to the owners.

Website Committee

Responsible for the planning and implementation of the Barefoot Residential website as the BRRA information source, ensuring a more user-friendly, informative, and interactive resource for Barefoot residents. The committee monitors the continued relevance and operations of the website and provides direction and supervision to the contract hired web manager.

Lifestyle Committee

This pilate committee represents both single and multi-family residents to recommend Board approved events for all residents of Barefoot. The BRRA Board seeks to approve the committee’s organizational plan and charter in January 2018.
