Barefoot Holiday Bazaar Results

DECEMBER 1, 2017

Thank you BAREFOOT!

This year is the first time that our single and multi-family Barefoot Communities have joined together to support the Holiday Arts and Crafts Bazaar, an annual charity event sponsored by the Barefoot Caring Council. For the last several years, the proceeds from this event have been donated to Teen Angels of North Myrtle Beach.

In 2016, the Annual Bazaar raised $5,427 for Teen Angels, a big jump from the $1,800 raised in 2015. And now, here are the results from this year!!!!

Teen Angels will receive a donation of $9,555 from the 2017 Holiday Bazaar, a 76% increase from last year!

With results like this, there is no doubt that when our communities work together as ONE Barefoot, great things can be accomplished for local charities like Teen Angels of North Myrtle Beach. A “BIG THANKS” goes out to all of our volunteers, committee chairs, vendors, and local businesses. Their generosity made the 2017 Bazaar a HUGE success for Teen Angels!!!!!!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Teen Angels, it is a 501.c3 non-profit organization that provides support services to homeless and disadvantaged teenagers at North Myrtle Beach High School. The teenagers in this program are frequently flying under the radar of government agencies, receiving very little monetary and/or emotional support to ensure that they have an opportunity to complete a high school education. They are good students who are struggling to create a positive future for themselves, and the North Myrtle Beach community is fortunate to have the Teen Angel organization to help these students achieve their dreams.

The Annual Bazaar for Teen Angels is one of several charitable events throughout the year sponsored by the Barefoot Caring Council. The Caring Council is an organization of Barefoot residents who donate their time and resources to support local North Myrtle Beach non-profit organizations in need of our help! Together as ONE Barefoot, we can do more to make a positive impact on our community!

Sincerely,

Gwenn McDaniel & Charlene Dougherty
