The East Coast Greenway bicycle path between Par Avenue and Links Drive on Water Tower Road is nearing completion. The path follows the spine circle in Barefoot.

This greenway near Barefoot will evenutally connect to an Horry County Trail section in Carolina Forest to the South and to Little River and beyond to the North. This is part of a regional trail. See map (right) of the South Carolina section.

The North Myrtle Beach City contractor will begin installing the concrete drainage channels next week. It should take about two weeks to complete. It will take another week to go through restoration and punch list items, which should mean full completion of this segment in the second or third week of June.
