Vote for BRRA Board Candidates

DECEMBER 1, 2018

Please mail your ballot now…

If you haven't already mailed (or dropped off) your ballot to Ponderosa Management, please make your selections and do so as soon as possible. All Barefoot Resort Residential Owners Association owners have been mailed voting ballots. They must be received by the Ponderosa Management office by noon on Thursday, December 6th. (Ballots received in the mail after that day and time will not be counted.)

The Barefoot Resort Residential Association Board of Directors has three (3) members whose term will expire on December 31, 2018. Additionally, there is one (1) vacancy due to the loss of one of the Board Members. It is therefore necessary to elect four (4) new Board Members, one (1) from the Single Family Village, one (1) from the Multi-Family Village, and two (2) Directors at Large.

The newly elected Board Members representing the Single Family Village and the Mutli-Family Village will serve a two (2) year term that will begin on January 1, 2019. The newly elected Director at Large receiving the highest number of votes will serve a two (2) year term and the Director at Large receiving the second highest number of votes will serve a one (1) year term. Both terms will begin on January 1, 2019.

Only one nomination was submitted for the election of the Multi-Family representative and the Single Family representative. Therefore, Ken Skelly, Clearwater Bay, will be elected by acclimation to serve as the Multi-Family Director and Bill Schulz, Oak Pointe, will be elected by acclimation to serve as the Single Family Director.

Below are brief resumes provided by each candidate wishing to serve as a Director at Large. Each household may cast (2) two votes for the Director at Large position.

Gregory Snow – Brookstone – Full Time Resident

What talents or expertise do you think you can bring to the Board?
I've been a continuous HOA member since the mid-80s. Barefoot is my 5th HOA community which included condominium, single-family, and part-time residential communities. I feel my background as members of diverse HOAs gives me a well-rounded understanding the range of BRRA needs. I retired from a 37-year corporate engineering career in hi-tech quality-oriented global manufacturing (TRW, Motorola, Medtronic) which included departmental and capital management. I will bring quality and best practice expertise to the board.

At Barefoot, I've participated on the Emergency Preparedness and Website Committees. I have been Voting Member for the Brookstone neighborhood. Additionally, I have experience on the board of a private good old boys' club (Harley Owners Group).

What do you see as the main issue(s) currently facing the Board?
Member Inclusion. Transparency. Competent legal guidance. Incomplete, conflicting, and seriously outdated governing documents.
